![]() ![]() You want an auto feature? Fine, but leave it to the mobile games or at least don't make playing the game feel so pointless. ![]() I know the creators have had financial difficulty and are trying new ways to gain fans and money, but it's quite depressing how they are doing it. Yes, I get that the auto feature can be turned off, but I find it pointless to buy a game like this to then just leave it on auto. Now though, you can just have the game on Auto and it will play for you. ![]() True, the newer games have easier ways to gain levels, but the player still had to put thought and effort into how they wanted to build up their team. What is the point of playing the game then? Why spend 60 dollars if you're just going to auto run most of the game? Disgaea was never meant for those who don't like grinding or want something fast. I often ran Disgaea 6 on my Switch for 24/7 and just left it running doing its own thing. It's all about setting up an automated team that can grind on its own non-stop for hours at a time. Equally so, those offerings can look cheapened in this new light, contradicting what Disgaea 6 Complete intends to do.Originally posted by GrandLumen:Wow that blows, how am I suppose to spend my weekends, if I can't grind?ĭisgaea 6 automates everything now, there are story missions, multiple hard modes for all missions, and the level cap is 999,999,999 now. The RPG elements get forgotten with these options, but it does grant new players a chance to see what the franchise offers. In doing so, the formula sees heavy simplification that mostly turns the game into a visual novel with automated bursts of combat in between bits. Overshooting Accessibilityĭisgaea 6 Complete attempts a new tactic to bring a new player base into the fold by providing accessibility options. However players see that light is one thing, but these boosts and new options objectively simplify the formula drastically. In an attempt to bring it new fans, this game sheds a different light on what dedicated fans love about the game. ![]() With these settings on by default, only a small grouping of this already-niche fanbase will pick up Disgaea 6 Complete to play it through without the boosts. For fans, they can turn these boosts off and even ramp up the difficulty. ![]()
